In some cases, Automox may refuse to start or become unresponsive. To resolve this issue, you can either temporarily disable the Automox Agent or remove it completely. To disable the Automox Agent, follow these steps: 1. Click Start and then right-click Computer and select Properties.
2. Go to the Security tab and click Advanced settings.
3. Click the Edit button next to the Windows permission for the Automox Agent service.
4. Click the Select button and choose the User or Group you would like to change the permission for. Click OK and then Yes to approve the change. 5. Click Apply when finished. To remove the Automox Agent from your computer, follow these steps: 1. Click Start and then click Computer.
2. Right-click on the computer and select Properties.
3. Go to the Advanced tab and click Change. 4. Select the Windows option under Startup and select the Automox Agent. 5. Click Change. 6. Select the user or group you would like to change the permission for. Click OK and then Yes to approve the change. 7. Click Apply when finished.
How to determine if the Automox is configured and operating correctly?
Automox Agent service may not be configured correctly if the following events occur:
• Automox is not running.
• You cannot connect to the Automox Service.
• The Automox Server service does not start when you attempt to connect to it from a remote machine.

How to read the Automox Agent log file
The Automox Agent log file will show you the action that was taken by the Automox Agent when it failed to start. The following are some of the most common causes for failure:
-Access denied or server not found error
-Unable to access database
-Server configuration file missing
-Home directory not found
-Database administrator password has expired
