CVE-2022-38170 Airflow prior to 2.3.4 had an insecure umask that could lead to race condition for world-writable files in the Airflow home directory.
This issue has been fixed by configuring the umask appropriately.
Prior to Apache Airflow version 2.3.4, a config error in one of the tox environments resulted in Airflow attempting to import data from the un-serverd MySQL server intoAirflow. This resulted in an Airflow error when running with `--tox` that said `ImportError: unable to import name 'SQLite' from package `tox` .
This issue has been fixed by updating the `PYTHONUNBUFFERED` config setting to `True` .
To fix this issue, update the following setting in `/etc/airflow/config.py` . - `PYTHONUNBUFFERED=True` .

Installation and Environment Setup
The installation and setup is fairly straightforward, but it does take time.
To install Airflow, you will need to have Python 3 installed. To run Airflow's tests, you will also need pip and virtualenv installed on your machine.
Once these requirements are met, the installation process is fairly simple:
1) Download the source code (see below for link)
2) Unzip it and cd into the new directory created in step 1 using `cd` 3) Run `python3 manage.py syncdb` to create a database table called "airflows" with this schema:
4) Run `python3 manage.py migrate` to create an empty migration file so that you can add your own migrations later
5) Edit `/etc/airflow/config.py` and set the following configuration options: - **PYTHONUNBUFFERED=True** - **SQLLIB_PREFIX** - **SQLLIBSUBDIR** (you can also use any other prefix for this setting such as "mysql" or "sqlite" ) - **MYSQLPASSWORD** - **MYSQLUSERNAME** - **MYSQLDATABASE** -- **MYSQLSERVER** (i.e., localhost or 127.0.0.1; if using a mysql server remote, make sure to
